Joel Roskind MD to Propose Plastic Surgery Practice Management Teaching

Although retired from his occupation as a plastic surgeon, Joel Roskind MD remains current in the medical area. In addition to teaching a case management class at Boston University Medical School, Dr. Joel Roskind will also be offering his services as a teacher in the areas of practice management and facility accreditation.

As the operator of a successful plastic surgery office, a board certified surgeon licensed in four states, a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and former inspector for the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAASF), Joel Roskind is qualified to instruct and consult in many areas of medical practice.

He has previously instructed at Boston University, the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, University of California, San Diego and Cornell Medical School. He is also the former Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor or Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He served in the U. S. Navy as part of a three-man plastic surgery team, and during that time traveled to Mexico to do surgery on deprived children with congenital deformities.

And, Dr. Joel Roskind is an veteran teacher. He has previously taught at Boston University, as well as the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Cornell Medical School and the University of California, San Diego. He is also the former Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor or Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.

Fulfilling the trust that patients put in their doctors has always been a top priority for Joel Roskind. He feels that he can continue to contribute to best practices and patient safety in a broader and more comprehensive way through his work as a instructor and consultant. When he is not instructing or consulting, Dr. Joel Roskind plans to pursue a personal interest in Judaic studies.
