Nylon fiber was first introduced to the public at the New York
World’s Fair in 1939. The first thing nylon was used for was
nylon stockings in 1940. Women liked the nylon stockings because
they were as pretty as the silk stockings they had previously
worn and they lasted much longer. The nylon stockings also dried
much faster than silk after they were washed.
Nylon stockings were scarce during WWII because all available
nylon was needed in the war effort. A lot of nylon was used in
making parachutes. Production of nylon stockings started up
again at the end of WWII.
A new trend in stockings was started in the 1960’s with the
introduction of pantyhose. Until the introduction of pantyhose,
stockings had to be worn with garter belts or girdles. The
stockings were held up with clasps attached to the girdle or
garter belt. Today, pantyhose are available in a multitude of
styles. These stockings come in sheer, ultra sheer, nude, sandal
toe, and reinforced toe. Some pantyhose come with built in body
shaping and control tops to trim and smooth the tummy, rear, and
hips. Women can even buy an anti-cellulite pantyhose. These
stockings promise to reduce cellulite appearance by using micro
beads imbedded into the fabric. Results are visible after four
weeks. The beads remain effective for five washings. The
stockings firm and tone legs for a sleeker look.
Nylon stockings come in a wide variety of colors and are also
available as anklets, knee highs and thigh highs. Support hose
are even available for those women who need some relief from the
pain of vericose veins. These stockings are designed to relieve
pain caused by varicose veins by relieving the pressure of the
stocking against the leg. No part of the leg gets too much or
too little pressure.
Many women enjoy sexy thigh high stockings. Some stockings need
a garter belt to stay in place, while others use a knit in
elastic or grip to help them stay snug against the thigh. Women
can choose to wear fishnet thigh high stockings or ones with
lace tops, or even ones with back seams running down the back of
the leg.
Nylon stockings are an essential accessory to every woman’s
wardrobe. Go ahead and try some of the new and exciting styles
available today!

1. Always buy skates that fit.
You don’t need to purchase the most expensive skates, however, the skates you purchase have to fit! You will only ever perform to the level that your equipment allows. Your skates are what actually transfers the power from your legs and hips to the ice. If your skates are too big, or even too stiff, you are leaving a ton power and speed on the ice.
2. Don’t Bend your knees!?!?
Every skating coach says “bend your knees” and we all know that we have to do this… but it hurts. Our saying is “Load your Legs”. Then we teach you how to do this based on the proper mechanics of your body- and we insist on it. Loading your legs teaches your body and your mind what it is supposed to feel like to get into the 90 degree knee bend we all require in order to increase speed. So STOP bending your knees…! Load your legs!
3. Watch and imitate players that are better than you.
You can learn so much by watching great skaters, teammates or even pro’s on televison. Visualize yourself moving the same way your favourite player moves on the ice and see if you can create the feeling in your own body that you think they have. We are all built differently, so we all skate somewhat differently, however the key is that physics is a science and gravity is a law. Harness the power of both, imitate greatness and you will become faster.
4. Stop trying so hard!
Many players believe that you have to SKATE HARD, all the time. In Quantum Speed we say , “Work less get MORE!” Proper technique makes your skating stride more efficient, the result is that the power from the muscles you use for skating move you faster. Work smarter not harder!!
5. Set goals then find programs that will support you in attaining them.
Choose instrution and development coaching based on YOUR needs and personal goals. Do your homework, to be certain the program supports your goals. The good ones create programs for YOU- you don’t do their program…get it?
6. Be the ‘I’ in team during your training cycles.
When you join a program, participate fully for your own reasons. Sure, it is fun to go with a friend to work out, however, eventually you have to start getting better as an indivdual. Ensure the people you train with are as commited to their training as you are. Be a focused training partner and as a result you both win.
7. Decide!!
‘Decide’ to become a better skater, and commit to what ever it takes to do so. Being a great skater is possible for anyone. See and treat yourself as an athlete, stay on a training path, and practice stride and style repetitions correctly.

One of the great challenges that we have when working with Microsoft Excel is selecting large volumes of columns or rows as quickly as possible. The core reason we usually need to select such large numbers of columns is usually to hide them. For example if you are building a template for users to use, you would generally try to ensure that the only cells that they see is just the ones that you want them to use or put data into. However, one of the challenges we face is trying to select all those columns or rows as quickly as possible without having to drag the mouse over them. The process for hiding the columns is really simply. Just go to the Format menu, choose column from the drop down menu and then choose Hide but trying to select 50 columns or more can take a while and when we are using Microsoft Excel we really want to be as efficient as possible.
In fact, there is a technique that allows you to select all columns or all the rows in just 5 clicks. This technique can be used to select just a small selection of columns or rows like fifty or you could select 60,000 rows or 250 columns.
So let me expose this very efficient technique …
The absolute first step in carrying out these secret steps is to open Microsoft Excel and to create a brand new document. Now you can do this by simply choosing the shortcut keystroke - [Ctrl] + [N]. So let us begin the 5 Click Steps.
Click 1 - Select the cell in the first column of the selection
Okay, first of all we need to click in the cell of the first column that you want to select. This technique I am sharing with you will only select consecutive cells. Sorry about that, but that’s the way it goes. Lets make this interesting, I want you to select the cell address D1.
Click 2 - Press the [F5] key to access the Go To dialog box.
I am a great believer in knowing your shortcut keystrokes, so of course my solution is to use the shortcut keystroke [F5] however, it is also possible to bring the Go To dialog up by choosing the Edit menu and then choosing the Go To command or alternatively using the shortcut keystroke [Ctrl] + [G]. Okay, with all that said and done you should have the Go To dialog box in front of you.
Click 3 - Type in a cell address of the last column you want in the selection
In Click 3 of our five click process we want to enter the cell address of the last column we want to select. I think for this example we shall type in the value of IV1, the absolutely last column in the worksheet. Simply type into the Reference text box, IV1 but do not click the OK button yet!
Click 4 - Hold down the [Shift] key
The next step is that we need to tell the application that we want to select all the cell addresses between the first cell address D1 to IV1. So hold down your [Shift] key and keep it held down.
Click 5 - Press the OK button
Whilst you still have the [Shift] key held down, simply move your mouse pointer over the OK button in the Go To dialog box and press the OK button once with your left mouse button. What you should notice instantly is that the cell range D1 to IV1 is now selected.
The really cool part about this now is that if we wanted to hide those columns we can simply go to the Format menu, then choose Columns from the drop down menu and then Hide from the expanded menu and all the columns from D through to IV would be hidden. Using this 5 Click method will save you a lot of time when trying to do this when building templates.
You can also use this same 5 Click technique for hiding a large volume of consecutive rows are well. In the case of rows simply choose the first row in the selection and then enter the last row in the selection. Once they are selected you can once again go to the Format menu and this time, choose Rows from the drop down menu and then Hide.

Pet dental care nowadays is a veterinary speciality in its own right. Just about anything
your dentist or orthodontist can do for your teeth, a veterinary dentist can do for your
pet’s teeth.
However, there is a lot you can do to help your pet maintain a healthy set of gnashers without
having to break the bank.It is also very important that you pay attention to your pet’s dental
health because it is an area that, if neglected, can lead not only to the obvious
dental problems, but also indirectly to a range of non-dental
health problems.
The thing to remember here is that, without your help, most pets (and we are talking primarily
cats and dogs here) will start developing dental related problems before they are 2 years old.
This has a lot to do with their diet and, in many cases, suburban lifestyle (i.e. they don’t
get to do much “hunting, shooting and fishing”!).
The developing dental problems immediately put an extra load on
the immune system, and consequently tend to shift the pet health pendulum away from “healthy” towards “unhealthy”.
So what can you do to help maintain good pet dental health?
1) Check your pet’s teeth regularly (e.g.monthly) so that deviations from the normal
can be spotted early and dealt with before a major problem develops. The added advantage
of this is that the pet gets used to you handling it’s mouth area.
2) Feed a dry kibble diet. These types of diet are more abrasive on the teeth than
tinned foods or home prepared diets, and tend to keep the teeth clean for longer periods.
3) Start regular brushing of your pet’s teeth using a pet specific toothpaste from when they are young.
This will prevent or at least delay the onset of periodontal disease.
4) Make sure your pet has a yearly dental check up and that cleaning and scaling is
undertaken on a regular basis.
All cats, dogs and some exotic pets are reliant on humans to ensure that they can eat
happily for their whole live.
Pet dental care, like many other aspects of pet health, is the responsibility of the pet owner!

Marriages are taken for granted. After the honeymoon period is over, couples co-exist. Most of the time without any charm in their married life. Everything becomes a routine- eating, sleeping, everything becomes highly predictable and dull. If kids arrive in the life of a married couple, which they invariably do, the attention shifts more to upbringing of the children.
What happened to the early romance? Why does a marriage kill a perfect romance? Why do people break-up and divorce each other so soon after the marriage? What happens in the period of their married life that brings it to either a dull existence or an end?
The very first change that can be noticed is care. Yes, before marriage, a partner is more worried about how to take care of the other partner. After marriage, it is the other way round. Why are you not paying any attention to my needs? Why do you not care for me? Why are you acting so selfishly? Why is your work more important than me? Why can you not wash the dishes
alone? Yes, I agree that you need a holiday badly, but where is the money? Accusations of different types fly around and make a hell of what was heavenly togetherness earlier.
Keeping one’s married life happy is very essential. Complaining about the partner will not help, but understanding each other’s needs and trying to fulfill them will. Partners need to go back in life and look for that spark that kindled the love in the first place. What did you admire in your partner before marriage? Do you still admire that or not? What did you like before, that you hate now? Reflect. Go back and think. Bring that charm back. Complimenting each other for the smallest act, expressing happiness of living together, letting the partner know how much you value her/him and so many small things that make the other partner happy must be done daily.
Why ignore your husband or wife and feel envious about other couples. Why not create a happy life that others envy? Why not make the other partner feel needed and good at all the times. Why not forgive even a big blunder? Why not put yourself in your partner’s shoes and think about the life he/she is living. Why not bring the romance back by going for candle-light dinners, or watching the sunset together? Let the sun set, but keep your marriage happy.
Have you ever thought of sending ecards or e-greetings to each other everyday? They cost nothing most of the times, but for a minute. But imagine the joy of the recipient. Why not make your partner happy with such cards daily? Give it a thought.

Donating your car is a great way to help out worthy causes. Your car donation is fully tax deductible, as long as the charity is a registered 501(c)3 organization. It is best to check with the charity or your tax advisor to ensure you are entitled to a tax deduction.
Even though some of the car donation tax laws changed a few years back, this is still a great way to help yourself and others.
The IRS has now removed the need for an individual to determine the value of your vehicle as you are now allowed to deduct the sale price. Remember, this is the sale price that the charity sells your car for! If they dont sell the car and use it instead for their valuable work, you are entitled to deduct the market value of the vehicle.
If you do choose to make a car donation, you will find that the process is very easy. Organizations that offer to take vehicles generally have information available online or over the telephone and in some cases you can fill out online forms to start the donation process.
On the other side of the donation process, it is vitally important for charities who receive such generous gifts to acknowledge the donors as soon as practicable - immediately if possible but never longer than a few days.
Why? Being prompt is being courteous and your donors need to feel appreciated. A personal visit or phone call should be followed up by a well worded thank you letter.
Remember, people will stop giving if they dont feel that their gift is appreciated.
So, if you have clear title to your vehicle and feel you wish to give something back to your community, consider car donation. Your generous gift will help people far less fortunate than yourself.

Norman Mailer said of Marilyn Monroe:
“Her stomach, untrammeled by girdles or sheaths, popped forward in a full woman’s belly, inelegant as hell, an avowal of a womb fairly salivating in seed - that belly which was never to have a child - and her breasts popped buds and burgeons of flesh over many a questing sweating moviegoer’s face. She was a cornucopia. She excited dreams of honey for the horn.”
And Elizabeth Hurley’s opinion:
“I’d kill myself if I was as fat as Marilyn Monroe.”
When I came across Normal Mailer’s words in his biography of Marilyn it reminded me of the famous Hurley quote and I thought the comparison between the two views of this iconic beauty was quite poignant and sad.
Hatred of a womanly body seems to be a common situation in our culture. Women are brainwashed into thinking they need to be as skinny as possible. We diet, workout, starve ourselves, judge each other harshly, and spend our lives in deprivation and desperation.
Meanwhile, men naturally adore the lush, sexual, curvy female body. They desire the soft, voluptuous bodies we women are born into.
Our natural bodies don’t require stringent dieting or starvation or plastic surgery or sculpting. We are each a perfect, unique creation and the more we accept and love our womanliness, the more wonderful life feels.
The Hurley quote used to make me angry. Now it just makes me sad that we have learned to be so shallow and so mean to one another, and to ourselves, with the thoughts we have about the female body.

One of the first things you must do for your business is define
your target market. I hear business owners tell me all the time
that “anyone can use their products,” or “they don’t want to
narrow down their customer base by excluding groups of people.”
I understand that there is fear around excluding a portion of
the population - you feel it’s money walking out the door. But,
do you really want to try and be all things to all people? When
you narrow your focus and choose a target market, you will be
able to market your business more effectively.
Here are three reasons a target market will help you work
smarter in your business.
1. Spend your advertising dollars wisely. We all know that ads
must be seen at least 7 times before it even registers with a
potential customer. If you market to “everyone,” where are you
going to place your ad to ensure that enough people see it 7
times? That is, enough people who are then willing to try your
products or services. That’s a lot of advertising dollars spent
for simply guessing where to put your ad.
2. Know your customers. Customers also want to know “what’s in
it for me?” How do your products and services benefit them? With
a target market defined, you can determine what to talk about
with potential customers. With a defined target market, you will
be able to discuss specifically why potential customers will be
interested in your products or services.
3. Hear it from the source and meet their needs. Once you choose
your target market, do some research to determine what other
interests the people in your niche have. Find out where they
like to hang out online and offline. Start hanging out in those
places too and get to know the people. For example, if you
product appeals to moms, join a few mom’s groups. When you
connect with them, ask what their needs and concerns are. This
is a great way to conduct your research - nothing like getting
information directly from the source. You can then use that
information to further develop products and services for your
business.
Truth be told, I was terrified to choose a target market. I felt
that I would be limiting myself. I too, was afraid that I would
lose out on income. The truth is, because I chose a target
market, I was more successful and actually gained more business.
My advertising efforts were focused, and I positioned myself as
someone my target market could trust with their needs. And,
believe it or not, I attracted other projects and clients that
aren’t even in my target market. Do yourself a favor - make your
business life easier; choose a target market now.

The Tour De France, arguably may be the hardest sport of all time, and Lance Armstrong probably one of the most conditioned athletes ever. But, how is it possible for a man on the door step of death to be able to overcome cancer, return and win seven races in a row? Only in the end, retire on top as a winner he so right fully deserves.
How many wonder? How can any human being bounce back after such set back and compete let alone win one of the hardest sporting events possible? Why, others will ask? Why would a man want to put is mind and body through such tests? Is it a new lease on life? Is it a second chance, or is an obsession in the soul?
Many who live to compete in sporting events marvel at those who consistently rise to the occasion. But, all of us like a story. A story of triumph, especially when it has to do with human will power.
Being a fitness buff I always like to categorize what certain characteristics one may have in order to do what they do. Let’s look at a few that Lance Armstrong probably has:
1. Passion: You have to be sold out to doing what you want to accomplish. You understand at the start that you will have good days and not so good days.
2. Respect for the sport: You understand that the sport is much larger than you. You have the attitude each day that it is you chancing the sport not the sport living for you.
3. Willingness to learn: Each day will be an opportunity to learn something about you, the sport and the process.
4. Work smarter not harder attitude: It is not the one who necessarily works the hardest day in and day out. It is the one who continues to learn how to be more efficient in their craft.
5. Master the mental game first: The biggest and most challenging events, courses and obstacles are not the ones we run on but the ones we think upon. You must first win over the events in your head before you can win on the paths to victory.
6. Know when to quit: Winning has a lot to do with how you bow out as much as it does to entering your first event. Compete for the sport, not for your ego!
7. Learn from the best: Always have someone to whom you can learn more things about your sport from.
8. Surround yourself with winners: You are only as good as those around you. Develop a good support team around you.
9. Eat to Win: Practice great nutritional habits. To be at your best, you must fuel the system that will take you there.
10. When others say no, you say yes: Refuse to be normal. Be the best you can be. Never settle for less than you can give.
We all may never accomplish what Lance Armstrong has overcome; however, we all have our own journey’s to pursue. Achieving them is maybe more of a matter of will rather than what each of us are dealt with. For today you may say, how come? Tomorrow you may think how far?
